VERY RARE, EARLY VICTORIAN "MOGUL JEWELRY" CIRCA 1830/50 THE COLONIAL PERIOD OF INDIA, BRITISH OFFICER'S WIVES HAD THESE MADE FROM GOLD COINS (22K-23K) AND THE IVORY MINITURE PORTRAITS OF THE MOGUL RULERS OF INDIA CAN BE SEVERAL HUNDRED YEARS OLD. THEY WERE WORN IN VERY LARGE ENSEMBLES (12 TO 15 PORTRAITS). THIS PIECE HAS 7 PORTRAITS, INCLUDING THAT OF TAJ AND THE KING THAT BUILT THE TAJ-MAHAL, THE LARGEST IS, 1" X 13/16th" AND THE SMALLEST IS 3/4" X 5/8" THE BRACLET IS APPROX.71/8" LONG.
